Circumcision Education

The Boys' Health Advisory at www.babyboy.info and the National Organization of Circumcision Information Resource Centers (NOCIRC) at www.nocirc.org have jointly released a free educational DVD.

I received mine in the mail earlier this week, and today I finally got a few moments, with no young sons awake in my house, to watch this production.
I don't think I'll ever be the same again.
I learned a lot about the function, design, purpose and sexual nature of the foreskin/prepuce.
Then I BAWLED my eyes out during the footage of a newborn circumcision ... and I think that's where I've been changed. To see and hear what happens when a baby is circumcised makes the debate more real and so much less nebulous.

No medical community around the world recommends infant circumcision. There is no medical justification for routinely circumcising infant boys. This debate is about social custom. Watching real footage of how this ritual/custom is performed, allows a more truthful assessment of the choices one makes on behalf of their child.
